Disney World Day 3
The competition is over so we are left to the playing. We have some serious parks to get to if we want to see them all and then go back to see things we missed the first time. Today our goal is to go to 3 parks: The Animal Kingdom, The Magic Kingdom and Epcot. All without hurrying so we can really see what is here and enjoy it. We also need to get on all the fast roller coasters (maybe twice.)
At the Animal Kingdom, you would expect to see animals, and lots of them. One of the first ones we come across is an old friend (or one just like him) Rupert.
This is a Babirusa, seems friendly enough...
And some happy swingers. These guys were fun to watch and we could have stayed there all day but we had places to go and more animals to see.

ZOT!!!
The living plants were beautiful
and the Disneyfied created plants were fascinating too. This is the Tree of life, and we walked around it throughout the day. Each side has life depicted in a most fascinating way.

This is our ultimate destination!
For those of us who are brave enough...
We rode this one twice (once in the front, once in the back... the back was better) then off we go to Park #2. As we arrive here it has started to rain. We are from Washington and can handle rain...all you need is a sweatshirt and a hood.
Looking across the lake, this is our destination: Italy and lunch.
Ahhhh... here at last.
As it turns out, a plate of spaghetti is too expensive in Italy, so we check our map and change our mind about lunch, and then off we go to Japan (so many countries in so little time.)

After lunch, I was the first to cave in to the weather and put my poncho on. We had them with us so we would not have to use them. The girls were quick to follow.
We found some princesses to pose with...
including #2's all time favorite (Princess Aurora- Sleeping Beauty) Yes she is 18 and still wanted to wear a princess dress the entire time. She is soooo deprived.
Family Portrait in Canada.
To get out of the rain, we went on a fascinating ride that took us from the past into the future (sponsored by Seimmens) including a display showing what we would look like in the future.
Then the girls played a game on a screen on the floor. As I watch them quickly sweep the floor, I wonder how I can get them to do the same thing with the floor in my house. I think I need a video game installed into the floor where the controller is a vacuum cleaner.
This one is for my youngest nephew, showing all the landings on the moon (on this side, I believe there was one on the other side too.)
From here, the dancers had a dinner date with the team, so we rushed them to downtown Disney (via assorted buses) and dropped them off. I still had one more park to visit in the day. After taking another bus to get to a resort so we could walk across the street to our ultimate destination it was 8:00 at night and our time schedule said the park closes at 8. In the worst case scenario, we could at least catch a bus back to our resort, but asking questions had gotten us this far, so as we approached the gate and the guide told us that if we hurry we could still get in, because they were having fireworks tonight. My first business was to get the Magic Kingdom Charm for the girls' bracelets and I wasn't going to stop to watch fireworks only to have the stores closed when they were over and miss that charm. Quickly, we found the charm, made the purchase and then we were free to go out and enjoy the fireworks show.

It looks like a good time was had by all. I am glad the rain did not dampen your spirits.
It was nice when it was raining because most people went home so it was not crowded. Especially for the roller coaster lines.
Thanks for mooning 3B. When he wakes up, he'll appreciate it.
