Independence Day

In our neighborhood we get many displays of fireworks starting on July 3rd. That way I can post our first set of fireworks pictures on the 4th of July.

I am amazed at the pictures my camera takes.
Usually it was good for taking pictures of the black sky after the lights had faded.
But I did get one or two good ones.

Then we get up early (for some) the next day for the Parade down Capitol Blvd in Tumwater
It is quite the community parade and goes on and on and on, but eventually the one person you came to see walks past.
Along with kids from town who participated in a dance clinic, here is the Tumwater High School Dance Team.
In the picture below, my daughter is lined up with the light pole.
And as quickly as they came, they are on their way again.
Happy 4th of July Everyone.

Your mother would be proud of that light pole. Fun day.

Pretty - looks like your weather and our weather got a little mixed up - we had all the rain on the 4th but at least they still had the fireworks and the rain held off for that little bit of the day :)

CG- How else would you know where she is in the mass of dancers?

R- Yeah, we had a week of warm and sunshine. Today (Monday) it is rainy which should last through the week. I am glad you got enough of a break in the weather for fireworks.
