Christmas 2008

Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through the house
not a creature was stirring,
not even a mouse;

The stockings were hung
by the chimney with care,
in hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there. The Children were nestled
all snug in their beds,
while visions of sugarplums
danced in their heads.Actually this is where the story takes a turn down a different road. That would be a picture of the oldest teenager in the house, trying to sleep through the morning. This would be the Oatmeal that mom had to cook for #4 at 6:40 in the morning.
I made him wait an additional hour before waking his sisters to open presents.

Traditionally we take a picture of the kids coming down the hall to the living room to open presents... this year #4 wanted a picture on the stairs. Why not?? He was up and awake. What you don't need to know is that he is not going towards the tree, instead he is going into the daylight basement. This Christmas morning some of us are not quite awake and one of us is ready to go. Why does morning come so early?? When you are forced to get up too early, nap time comes quickly.
Christmas in the northwest it's a gift that we can share
Christmas in the northwest is a child's answered prayer
Take away the presents, and they still will have a tree
Christmas in the northwest is a gift God wrapped in green.

That's beautiful. Nice to see that 3B was there to witness everything too, from his perch on the hearth.

If the picture went over another 8 inches, you would see that you and your lovely wife are there watching too. Your picture is not as prominent as his, but it is surrounded by candles which make you shine.

I hope he enjoyed his Christmas from this Washington too. His present is the red one you can see, unwrapped.
